New launch of Hudson Quarter apartments following sales success

New apartments have been released at the Hudson Quarter development in York following strong sales in the development and excellent progress being made on the site.

Apartments in the Victoria building on the Toft Green site have now been released to the market.

The Palace Capital plc development features four buildings set around a landscaped courtyard – the three residential buildings are called after train stations, Waverley, Kings and Victoria, in a nod to the rich railway heritage of the area.  The other building is a 35,000 sq ft office building.

Apartments in Kings were released last June and Waverley will be released later this year.

Since the homes went on sale last year over half of the released apartments have been sold on the development, which is opposite York Railway station and includes 127 apartments in total.

The main contractor on the site is Caddick Construction and completion is expected in spring 2021.

The homes in the Victoria building range from one bedroom to three bedrooms, with some including dedicated parking.  Prices in this phase will start from £250,000

A show two-bedroom apartment is also now open in the Victoria building that highlights the quality of the finishes and specification and is available to look round by appointment.

Hudson Moody and Carter Jonas are joint residential agents on the development.

There has been lots of interest in the site since the lockdown eased and there are many features that mean this will be attractive in the current Covid situation.  There is significant outside space and outside features and designated areas within the apartments for home working areas.  The location of the development also means it is an easy commute to many different areas, including an hour and three quarters on the train from London.

Ben Hudson, from Hudson Moody, one of the joint agents of the development commented: “The interest in new homes on this site has been very encouraging and this will only continue as the scaffolding is removed and people can see the whole development taking shape.

“With less than six months left of work to complete the whole site, we are expecting lots of interest in the Victoria building now it has been released.

“This development is unique in York and offers fantastic quality homes, in an unbeatable location.”

The office element of the scheme is being marketed by JLL and Sanderson Weatherall.
